World of light
Have I lied?
Engines speak
From the mind
(Moon) screams for help
(Son) lost in time
Again
Lunar child, are you lost?
In the sky, diamond dust
Demons roam around you now
Into depths of hell, I will call and search
For you
Into depths of hell, I will call and search
Child in a field of cold
And you must go on
Running from the clouds
To her
Anytime, anyway
You have flown, over lies
To Become, Lunar Child
Lunar child, full of light
Fireflies in an instant bright
Into depths of hell, I will call and search
For you
Into depths of hell, I will call and search
Child in a field of cold
And you must go on
Running from the shades
To you
Anytime, anyway
You have flown, over lies
To Become
Lunar Child
If someone were to ask me why I love progressive rock, this album would be one of my examples. It's eclectic; it's beautiful; it's sufficiently complex; and its cover art is cool. Soul Doubt does one hell of a great job of reprising the album's themes and building atmosphere and emotion throughout the >100 minute affair. And the cherry on top of it all is that there are no middling or superfluous songs--which is impressive because double albums usually have some amount of filler.
Magnifico!

As a fan of the golden age of progressive music (Yes, Genesis, ELP, Crimson, Floyd, etc.) seeking newer bands, this album checks off more than a few sub-genres. The sum is greater than the parts although the parts are very good. It flows well from start to finish. progging_forgold
