You’ll have to stay strong my friend
We’re nothing but trash in the end
The mad men like to see what’s real
Ferocious because I’m here
So young and so frail
Eager to bring his life to an end
Beneath your crown of sudden bliss
Behold this world where no one fails
They prayed a lot but nonetheless
Nailed to a cross no He won’t help
Walking down the aisle
Something shows and wipes the trail
Then doors of perception closed
28 grams that no one chose
And we die
And we cry
And we doubt
And we lie
Every time
Black Nova please
This life of pain shall you cease?
Black nova see
What we have done shall never be
If someone were to ask me why I love progressive rock, this album would be one of my examples. It's eclectic; it's beautiful; it's sufficiently complex; and its cover art is cool. Soul Doubt does one hell of a great job of reprising the album's themes and building atmosphere and emotion throughout the >100 minute affair. And the cherry on top of it all is that there are no middling or superfluous songs--which is impressive because double albums usually have some amount of filler.
Magnifico!

As a fan of the golden age of progressive music (Yes, Genesis, ELP, Crimson, Floyd, etc.) seeking newer bands, this album checks off more than a few sub-genres. The sum is greater than the parts although the parts are very good. It flows well from start to finish. progging_forgold
